Ghost Recruiter Detector Chrome Extension — Last updated: May 24, 2026

By installing and using the Ghost Recruiter Detector extension (the "Extension"), you fully accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, do not install the Extension, or uninstall it immediately.

1. Purpose of the Extension

Ghost Recruiter Detector is an automated, AI-powered analysis tool that examines LinkedIn recruiter profiles and job postings published on LinkedIn, in order to provide an indicative estimate of the likelihood that they are a "ghost recruiter" or a "ghost job" (a recruiter or posting published with no genuine intention to hire).

2. ⚠️ Critical Disclaimer on AI Analysis

You expressly acknowledge and accept that:

• The AI may produce false positives (flagging a legitimate recruiter or posting as suspicious)
• The AI may produce false negatives (failing to detect a genuine ghost recruiter or ghost job)
• Analyses depend on the quality and completeness of the data publicly accessible on LinkedIn at the time of analysis
• The scores and verdicts produced do not constitute professional, legal, or career advice in any way
• No warranty is given as to the accuracy, completeness, or relevance of the results

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher of the Extension disclaims all liability for the direct or indirect consequences of using the Extension, including:

• Loss of a professional opportunity following an erroneous analysis
• Time lost applying to a posting identified as legitimate that turns out to be a ghost job
• Harm to the perceived reputation of a recruiter or company following a score from the Extension
• Any service interruption related to LinkedIn, Cloudflare, or Anthropic
• Any indirect damage, loss of revenue, or loss of data

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Extension responsibly and ethically. The following are prohibited:

• Publicly disclosing the analysis results of an identifiable person, without their consent, with the intent to harm them
• Using the Extension to mass-automate profile analysis for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Attempting to circumvent the subscription system or to modify the Extension's code for fraudulent purposes
• Using the Extension for illegal purposes or in violation of LinkedIn's terms

5. Free Tier, Pro Subscription, and Lifetime

5.1 Free tier

You have free access to a limited number of analyses (10 by default, subject to change). No account creation is required for the free tier.

5.2 Pro subscription and Lifetime plan

The Pro subscription is billed monthly at the rate shown in the Extension at the time of purchase. A Lifetime plan may also be offered as a one-time payment at the price shown in the Extension. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment provider, whose terms apply in addition to these.

5.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel a subscription at any time from your Lemon Squeezy account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Where required by applicable consumer law, a withdrawal/refund period may apply to new purchases.

6. Intellectual Property

The Extension, its source code, interface, text, and name are protected by copyright. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is prohibited.

LinkedIn is a registered trademark of LinkedIn Corporation. The Extension is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LinkedIn. The Extension complies with LinkedIn's terms of service by performing only passive reads of pages that are publicly accessible to the logged-in user.

7. Service Availability

The publisher strives to keep the Extension available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or due to technical issues at third-party providers (LinkedIn, Cloudflare, Anthropic).

8. Changes to the Extension

The publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time. Paying users will be informed of significant changes at least 30 days before they take effect, where possible.

9. Personal Data

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be modified at any time. The last update date appears at the top of this document. Continued use of the Extension after a modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law, as the Extension is published from France. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, subject to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions applicable in your country of residence.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, a consumer user may, where applicable, use a consumer mediation service free of charge.
